Cancer remained to be one of the most controversial topics for over many decades now but not many are aware of the fact that 43 children are diagnosed everyday with this deadly disease. Sadly, 12% of them do not survive.

Kylie Myers was one of those kids who were diagnosed with cancer at such tender age. At the age of 12, she faced a challenge that no child in this world should ever have to go through. Diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, she had to fight for her life while the other children cried for their broken barbie dolls. Yet, her smile never faded.

How can you not smile to that? #SmileyforKylie

Kylie stayed strong. Nothing could take down her dreams, not even cancer. She dreamt of becoming an actress and to perform on broadway one day. She was brave and determined and so she won her battle in a way that she touched the hearts of millions of people.

Kylie’s body gave away to cancer on February 13, 2015 but her legacy will continue to live on. She will forever be remembered as Smiley Kylie and the brave 12 year old girl.

Watch Kylie achieve her dream in the video below.

We often say children are our future yet when we look at the statistics, only 4% of the federal funding for cancer research in the U.S. is allotted for childhood cancers. Isn’t that an irony?

Remember that kids can’t fight this on their own.

If you were touched by Kylie and all the other children who are still battling the disease, share the video and don’t forget to include #SmileyforKylie.

Be inspired.

Till next time <3
